Syllabus

Week 1: Chapters 1–5 + Quiz
This week introduces the foundational principles of life coaching. Students will explore what life coaching is, the role of a professional life coach, and how coaching differs from therapy, mentoring, and consulting. We will examine why life coaching is important in today’s world and the key characteristics that define an effective and ethical coach. By the end of this week, students will understand the purpose of coaching, the coach-client partnership, and the forward-focused, goal-oriented nature of professional coaching practice.

Week 2: Chapters 6–10 + Quiz
In Week 2, students develop core coaching skills including active listening, asking powerful questions, goal clarity, establishing coaching agreements, and building rapport and trust. These foundational competencies strengthen the coach-client relationship and improve coaching effectiveness.

Week 3: Chapters 11–15 + Quiz
In Week 3, students explore advanced professional competencies in coaching, including ethics and confidentiality, cultural competency, professional boundaries, emotional intelligence, and coaching presence. This week focuses on strengthening integrity, self-awareness, and professionalism to enhance coaching effectiveness and client trust.

Week 4: Chapters 16–20 + Quiz
This week focused on advanced coaching applications that strengthen long-term client impact. You explored how to: Sustain motivation through values-based alignment Establish empowering accountability structures Coach diverse populations with awareness and cultural sensitivity Support clients during life transitions Maintain coach well-being to prevent burnout Structure impactful, results-driven sessions These competencies deepen your effectiveness as a coach and reinforce professional maturity in practice. As you move forward, reflect on how these advanced skills elevate both client outcomes and your personal coaching presence.

Week 9 focuses on helping you transition from learning coaching skills to building a successful and sustainable coaching career. As a certified coach, your impact grows when you are able to reach more clients, create valuable programs, and establish yourself as a trusted leader in the coaching industry. In this section, you explored how to design online coaching programs that allow you to serve clients around the world while creating scalable services. You also learned how to host group coaching sessions, which provide powerful opportunities for shared learning, accountability, and community growth. We also examined strategies for scaling a coaching business, including developing systems, expanding your services, and creating multiple income streams. As your coaching practice grows, positioning yourself as a thought leader through speaking, writing, and teaching becomes an important way to build credibility and influence. Finally, this week prepares you for life after certification. Becoming a certified coach is not the final step—it is the beginning of a professional journey dedicated to helping others grow while continuing your own personal and professional development. By the end of this week, you should feel more confident in your ability to build, expand, and sustain a meaningful coaching practice that creates real transformation in the lives of your clients.

Week 10: Final Exam + Coaching Reflection & Completion
This final exam is designed to assess your comprehensive understanding of life coaching principles, core coaching skills, ethical standards, and practical application strategies covered throughout the Nandi Coaching Institute Life Coaching Certification Program. This is more than a test—it is a reflection of your growth, knowledge, and readiness to step into your role as a professional life coach. There are 25 questions. Each question is worth 4 points, for a total of 100 points. A passing score is 80%. Take your time, read each question carefully, and trust what you have learned. You are prepared for this.
